Mac, I've gotta say I've never gotten a bad game from anything you've said is "Worth a buy" . But I just couldn't get into valhiem. Looking forward to jumping back into v rising and giving it a go.

I might give this a go simply because Mac is rarely off the mark. He steered me to BG3, Valheim, KCD and the Warhammer franchise.

it's not your normal game genre, but you should WAB Animal Well. do it for dunkey and indie devs/pubs.

I played it when it was released as early access it was a great game already. Either way gloomrot update and 1.0 they added tons of QoL improvements. Itemization, customization,inventory management etc everything just simply clicks in the game, they made all the mumbo jumbo of survival open world genre far less tedious and time consuming so that you can focus on more fun mevhanics of the game. Brilliant work by devs definetly worths a revisit.

The first dyng light with the farm expansion pack is still my favourite zombie game. I replayed it 2 years ago and it still holds up so well. The immersion in that game was amazing. The objects you can pick up dont glow, you just have to learn to recognize them.

love macs reviews... played v rising in its first EA release. I tried PvE and it was kind of boring but im a bit weary of public PVP servers.

Just started a server talking to my discord friends. Most of them were like “what’s v rising?” And “mmm okay” but then as they watched some trailers and looked it up and watched my streams everybody inevitably comes around lol it’s just a ducking FUN game

The starting perks sound like a very similar system to Project Zomboid 👍🏻

you need to be unemployed to play this online and without pvp there is no point for improvement

If Blue shift was a survival game....

I avoided playing it in Early Access because i knew i'd just go nuts with it... and yeah. It's been out in 1.0 since yesterday and i've already clocked in over 20 hours and i'm about to start another session with a mate. Easily the best survival game i've ever played. I love the setting, combat is fun and challenging on Brutal and it looks great with awesome spell effects and cool abilities to unlock. I'll probably get even less natural sunlight than my character does in the next couple of weeks.

Is this game still good when playing solo?

Ahhhhh...the good old gaming days, I played New Vegas before 3 as I heard it was better, when I finally got my hands on a secondhand GOTY copy, played for the first hour or two but couldn't immerse myself into the game, but still enjoyed the experience. I put 3 back on the shelf and continued playing New Vegas again, then a few months later I returned to 3 as I wanted to give the game a fair chance. There's no doubt in my mind that 3 won me over the more I played it and got further into the storyline and missions. I can see why some people prefer New Vegas over 3 but I consider both just as good as each other, but for slightly varying differences. 3 is a deeper game than New Vegas, storyline, music, characters/voice overs and graphics are better and you feel like the world map is a lot larger than it really is. There's more exploring and things to do in 3's wasteland as well, New Vegas' gameplay just lacks depth and feels rushed in places, but the game mechanics feels more solid and refined compared to 3. I'm a big Fallout fan and although I enjoyed Fallout 4, I still consider 3 and New Vegas the best Fallout games Bethesda ever made. 😊

This is one of the few games where I bought cosmetic DLC just because I believe that the release price was severly too low for what we got in EA. 🤯 I really think the "put a release worthy game into EA, set price low and let people decide to support us via cosmetic DLC" approach is fantastic. 1. Devs need high quality to get people hooked and want that DLC > profit for customer 2. Low entry point, because cheap base game > profit for customer 3. Put great cosmetics into base game, so DLC is just a matter of taste instead of "ugly base model, high quality DLC FOMO" > profit for customer Amazing way to put it out there. Too sad that most AAA companies release games in 1.0 in worse quality than V Rising had when it came out into early access. 😂👌
